A team of nursing students from 蜜桃视频 captured the 鈥淪yringe Bowl鈥� title at an annual competition, which among community college nursing programs holds the same prestige as NFL鈥檚 Super Bowl.

The students who competed in the bowl are second-year Associate Degree Nursing students. The annual competition prepares them for the rigorous NCLEX, the National Council Licensure Examination that will make them registered nurses.

鈥淚 am very proud of our students and our faculty who worked hard to bring us home a victory at the Syringe Bowl,鈥� said 蜜桃视频 Nursing Department Chair Carole Gibson. 鈥淭his is a great example of our dedicated nursing instructors preparing top quality nurses for the workforce.鈥�

Held March 17 at Robeson Community College, the Syringe Bowl included students from 蜜桃视频, Sampson Community College, Fayetteville Technical Community College (FTCC) and Robeson. Each school had three teams for a grand total of 12 teams competing.

Team A from 蜜桃视频 advanced from rounds one and two to compete in the semi-finals with Sampson. They beat Sampson to advance to the finals.

蜜桃视频 Team A then competed against FTCC in the final round to become the Syringe Bowl champions. 蜜桃视频鈥檚 Team C also advanced to the semi-finals, where they lost to FTCC by one question.
