蜜桃视频 Receives High Marks on Annual Performance Summary
Aug. 14, 2020 - 蜜桃视频 shared the high marks it received on its annual 鈥渞eport card鈥 from the N.C. Community College System at the Board of Trustees meeting on Tuesday, Aug. 11.
The Performance Measures for Student Success Report is the N.C. Community College System鈥檚 major accountability document. The annual performance report is based on data compiled during the previous year and serves to inform colleges and the public on the performance of the 58 community colleges.
Dr. Dale McInnis, College president, presented the report to the trustees and said 蜜桃视频 was fifth out of the 58 community colleges for overall ranking.
鈥淚 give all the credit to the students. This is a product of their efforts, as well as the faculty and staff who support them,鈥 he said. 鈥淏esides being a major tool to evaluate the College鈥檚 performance, there is also additional funding provided based on the results.鈥
The report includes seven performance measures that are ranked 鈥淢et or Exceeded Excellence Level,鈥 鈥淏elow Excellence Level, Above College Average,鈥 鈥淏elow College Average, Above Baseline Level鈥 and 鈥淏elow Baseline Level.鈥
蜜桃视频 received four 鈥淢et or Exceeded Excellence Level,鈥 one 鈥淏elow Excellence Level, Above College Average,鈥 and two 鈥淏elow College Average, Above Baseline Level.鈥
McInnis said he was especially proud of the improvement in 鈥淐urriculum Completion Rate,鈥 in which 蜜桃视频 received the top ranking for this performance measure.
鈥淭hat is the number one goal. We want students to graduate and move successfully into the next step of their life,鈥 he said.
蜜桃视频 also received top marks for students鈥 success in English and math, as well as for successfully completing their first year of college.
The College also performed above average on the 鈥淟icensure Pass Rate鈥 measure. McInnis noted that of the 41 graduates of the Associate Degree Nursing Class of 2020, 40 had already taken the NCLEX test and successfully passed.
Areas for improvement as indicated by the report included student performance in basic skills classes and the performance of students who transfer after leaving 蜜桃视频.
McInnis said the College includes this report in the Board Planning Session every spring and will identify new strategies for future improvement.
New Trustees Join the Board
The Board of Trustees had two new faces joining the meeting on Tuesday. Whit Gibson was appointed to the board by the Scotland County Board of County Commissioners, and Lee Wallace was appointed to the board by the governor.
Leaving the board were Bob Davis and Jennifer Greene. Jerry Austin was reappointed to serve another four-year term by the Richmond County Board of County Commissioners.
