蜜桃视频 Welding Students Learn about Changes in Auto Body Industry
May 7, 2018 鈥 蜜桃视频 welding students were given the opportunity to learn about and experiment working with new technology that is being used in the auto body industry.
Representatives from Barnes Motor and Parts Co. and Carolina Collision Equipment recently came to campus to give a hands-on demonstration of Car-O-Liner鈥檚 latest aluminum repair welders, repair systems and rivet tools. This new technology is used in the auto body industry for repairing Ford's new aluminum F-150.
鈥淚n order to work in the auto body industry, you have to have knowledge of these products to successfully work with today鈥檚 aluminum vehicles,鈥 said Mickey Tyson from Carolina Collision Equipment.
Tyson and Bucky Douthit, from NAPA Auto Parts, gave the presentation in 蜜桃视频鈥檚 welding lab and worked individually with students using the new technology.
鈥淚t was a great opportunity for us to have these veterans of the industry working with our students and showing them the skills and knowledge they鈥檒l need when they enter the workforce,鈥 welding instructor Chris Cesaro said. 鈥淚t鈥檚 very important that we equip our students with real-world knowledge and real-world skills so they can meet the demands of today鈥檚 employers.鈥
