Richmond CC and UNCP are rolling out this new teacher education program for a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education, making it easier for Richmond and Scotland County residents to earn their teaching degree leading to teacher licensure. 鈥淭his is an affordable and accessible way for the many people who would like to become a teacher to earn their bachelor鈥檚 degree in education,鈥� Dr. Dale McInnis, president of 蜜桃视频, said. 鈥淥ne of the biggest challenges our students face is transportation, so this collaborative effort with UNCP opens more doors for more people to pursue the careers they want.鈥�

蜜桃视频 students will be able to enroll in the UNCP-Elementary Education transfer program beginning this fall. Students who successfully complete this associate degree will then have the opportunity to become a UNCP transfer student at 蜜桃视频 and then finish the Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education. Students will take UNCP classes online and through distance education learning options on 蜜桃视频鈥檚 main campus.

More details about this unique and unprecedented transfer program will be provided during a 鈥淕rowing Our Own!鈥� Teacher Education Program on Monday, Feb. 13, from 10 to 11:30 a.m. at the Cole Auditorium on 蜜桃视频鈥檚 main campus in Hamlet.
